Hehku Price Protection – Service Terms
1. Service description
Hehku Price Protection is an add-on service offered by Hehku Energia for a fixed-term electricity contract. The service gives the customer the opportunity to update the price of their contract once (1) during the contract term.
2. Scope of application
Hehku Price Protection is available for fixed-term Hehku Fixed 24-month andHehku Flex 24-month contracts. The add-on service is available for sites with an annual electricity consumption of less than 50,000 kWh. Hehku Energia has the right to remove the Hehku Price Protection add-on service if the customer’s actual or estimated annual consumption exceeds this limit, or if it can be assumed that the annual consumption will exceed the limit stated above.
Hehku Price Protection can only be added to the electricity contract at the time the contract is entered into. The service cannot be added later to an existing contract.
3. Using Hehku Price Protection
Hehku Price Protection gives the customer the right to change their fixed-term electricity contract once (1) during the contract term. Price Protection can be used no earlier than twelve (12) months after the start of the original fixed-term electricity contract by contacting Hehku Energia´s Customer Service. The new contract will be concluded at the prices in effect at the time of the change, in accordance with Hehku Energia’s offering (hehkuenergia.fi/sahkosopimukset), and its term must be at least equal to the term of the original contract. When using Hehku Price Protection, the customer is not entitled to any other simultaneous campaigns, discounts, or benefits. Using Hehku Price Protection consumes the customer’s right to change and cannot be used again during the same contract term.
Hehku Price Protection is activated at the customer’s explicit request by contacting Hehku Energia’s Customer Service. No separate cancellation period applies to the use of the Hehku Price Protection value-added service, and the contract update made at the customer’s request will take effect 14 days after the contact.
4. Service fee
The fee for Hehku Price Protection is determined based on the site’s actual consumption during the period when Hehku Price Protection is valid. A contract-specific service fee is charged for as long as Hehku Price Protection is active on the original contract, i.e., until Hehku Price Protection is used or the original contract ends. If the customer uses Hehku Price Protection and switches to a new contract, billing of the service fee ends when the new contract takes effect, and Hehku Price Protection is removed from the original contract.
5. Other terms
Hehku Price Protection is contract-specific and cannot be transferred to another contract without a new contract.
Hehku Price Protection does not guarantee a cheaper electricity price compared to the original contract.
Changing a fixed-term contract requires the consent of both parties. By accepting these terms, the customer gives their consent to changing the fixed-term contract at their own initiative.
