Dynamic load management is a feature where the EV charger adjusts based on your property's overall electricity usage. If consumption rises, the charger reduces its power to avoid overloading the system and blowing fuses.

Q: What are Type 1 and Type 2 connectors?

Type 1 and Type 2 refer to different EV charging connector types. Most electric vehicles in Finland use a Type 2 connector, though some older vehicles may still use Type 1.

Hehku sells EV charging stations to customers in Uusimaa, Southwest Finland, and Pirkanmaa. If you're purchasing a solar power system or another energy solution from us, you can also order an EV charger to be delivered and installed as part of the same turnkey package.

What’s the difference between AC and DC charging?

Charging devices are available with both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC).

In private homes and properties, AC charging is more common, offering power up to 22 kW.

DC chargers are typically high-power chargers (50–350 kW) and are mainly found at public charging stations like those at service stations.

Keep in mind: most electric vehicles on the market can receive a maximum of 11 kW via AC and 100 kW via DC charging.
